TECHNICIAN OF THE YEAR Technician of the year has been awarded by the New Orleans Section for the past eleven years. The Section is very proud of the recipients and wish to recognize them for their hard earned skills and accomplishments. Skaggs, Jr. Charlie Musser Memorial Award The Charlie Musser Memorial Award was established in 1976 by the New Orleans Section to provide recognition to a person who has made an outstanding contribution to the local Section. Charlie Musser was chairman of the New Orleans Section in 1967-1968. Deceased since 1975, Charlie had a long and dedicated NDT career. Selection may be made on the basis of a single outstanding contribution or for continual contributions or services over an extended period of time. Nominations are made by the Section Officers and/or Directors. The award is not intended to be given each year. Past recipients are: 1976 Chuck Lyons, 1977 Joseph F.
